The Department of Health's "Primary Dental Co-care Pilot Scheme for Adolescents (PDCC)" was launched on March 20. Through government funding and public co-payment, the program encourages teenagers to use private dental check-up services, fostering the habit of regular oral examinations. Eligible individuals only need to pay a co-payment of $200 to access subsidized dental services under the pilot program.
The purpose of the pilot program is to connect school dental health services with funding for teenagers to use dental check-up services, helping them establish partnerships with registered dentists in the private sector for ongoing regular dental check-ups, thus creating a lifelong habit.
