As one of the largest medical groups in Hong Kong, Human Health officially opened the "COVID-19 Vaccine Mobile Vaccination Unit" (hereinafter referred to as "Vaccination Station") on December 3, 2021 in order to assist in responding to the epidemic and cooperating with the government's COVID-19 vaccination arrangements.)
The vaccination station will shuttle through various districts of Hong Kong to serve citizens in different locations flexibly and quickly to promote the "Covid-19 Vaccination Program" and encourage citizens to get vaccinated in a more convenient way.
The vaccination station has an inoculation area of about 160 feet, including a dilution area and three injection rooms, which can accommodate three citizens to be vaccinated at the same time. It is estimated that 300 doses can be given daily. According to the current plan, the vaccination station will arrange one of BioNTech vaccine or Sinovax vaccine depending on the situation each time for the injection on the spot for eligible citizens.
Human Health specially carried out a series of medical grade modification to the vaccination station. Based on the principle of barrier-free design, the installation of a lifting platform at the rear of the vehicle can effectively assist wheelchair users and elderly people with mobility difficulties to reach the injection room directly. Hence, the vaccine can be vaccinated in a convenient, safe and comfortable environment, shortening travel time when going to general community vaccination centers. In addition, the inoculation station has also installed a HEPA air purification system and constant temperature equipment to efficiently maintain the air quality in the car. It is also coated with a photocatalyst to effectively degrade air pollutants (such as formaldehyde, bacteria and viruses) into carbon dioxide and water. It has the effect of long-lasting antibacterial virus.
The daily operation of the vaccination station will be carried out by our Healthcare Professional team including doctors, pharmacists and registered nurses, and will provide consultation services for citizens preparing for vaccination on the spot. At the same time, tents and chairs will be set up outside the station as a waiting area and a rest area after the injection. If additional vaccines are needed in special circumstances, the community vaccine center operated by us can dispatch a special vehicle to deliver the vaccine to the location of the vaccination station at any time.
The first batch of service locations for mobile vaccination stations are Sun Chui Estate in Shatin, Lok Wah (South) Village in Kwun Tong, Cheung Hong Estate in Kwai Tsing, and San Tin Village in Tuen Mun to serve local residents.
