Home_Banner_COVID-19_News

This is the announce that Human Health has participated in the Enhanced Laboratory Surveillance Programme by the Centre of Health Protection. All of our medical centres with General Practice provide the coronavirus (COVID-19) test. The test uses "RT-PCR" technology, which has higher sensitivity than general antibodies quick test. The virus can be detected even if the sample contains only a very trace amount of viral genes. In addition, more than 90% of patients show ground glass opacity in their Lung X-rays. Lung X-rays and low-dose CT Scan can more clearly rule out related risks.

Who is this test suitable for?

Asymptomatic but afraid / suspected infection*

More likely to infect high-risk individuals (elderly and chronically ill) *

People with symptoms such as fever and upper respiratory infections

People currently under home quarantine *

Precautions:

* Persons in this group are not suitable to participate in the " Enhanced Laboratory Surveillance Programme " and will be referred to a private laboratory

Test results are affected by patient infection, sampling method and sample delivery

Strengthens Infection Control Measures Against Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In response to the HKSAR Government activation of emergency response level of the novel coronavirus infection, Human Health will further enhance relevant infection control measures based on the latest situation.

In order to ensure the health and safety of the patients and employees, we have formulated and implemented further infection control measures. Our medical staff and administrative team adopted health declaration and inspection; medical centres staff take daily temperature screening and wear surgical masks and goggles, as well as relevant protective equipment, perform frequent hand washing and maintain good personal hygiene as required by medical procedures. In addition, we will continue to disinfect the medical center on a regular basis in accordance with internal guidelines.

For all patients who arrive at the medical centre, we will perform temperature check and remind them to wear surgical masks and hand disinfection. Assistance will be provided to those when need. When an individual is found fulfilling the reporting criteria of "Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent", we will isolate the suspected case, report to Centre for Health Protection and carry out thorough disinfection of clinic afterwards.

To minimise the risk of community-based transmission, we support Enhanced Laboratory Surveillance Programme by the Centre of Health Protection to help identifying cases earlier. All of our General Practice medical centres provide the coronavirus (COVID-19) test.
